I saw sugar beet seeds on eBay and they have directions for making sugar - which sounds rather easy if time consuming. Has anyone every tried doing that?
Anyone grow sugar beets and make sugar from them?
I've just grown beets and eaten them. They take forever to get big enough to eat and I don't grow many, maybe 20 - 30. So we just eat them. Fresh homegrown beets & their greens are the best (as is almost any homegrown veggie!). If you end up making sugar, let us know how it comes out. Janet in W Houston
I've got non-gmo albino sugar beets planted this year and want to try to make sugar. Can you remember where you saw that recipe? Thanks.
I just googled how to make sugar from sugar beets and got 662000 hits! Let us know how your sugar turns out!
okay!
