Wow. Are we at 10 already? I never expected to continue the thread this long, but it seems to have grown a life of its own...
This is the ongoing story of Kitty & Cocoa, two strays I took in this past spring. Kitty, the mother, was about 1yr old at the time and living on the street with her two kittens, having apparently been dumped by her prior owner. She was semi-feral and extremely distrustful of humans. By the time I was able to work with them her 2 kittens were said to be too old to be reachable. One kitten died when struck by a car. The other one Cocoa is now a healthy, adolescent male and is tame enough to stay inside about 1/2 of the time. The battle for their hearts isn't won yet though. Both continue to improve almost daily. Only recently Kitty & Cocoa have begun to sleep on the bed with me and even occasionally at the same time.
