too many lids and the pots are but a memory

I know I can't be the only one reluctant to get rid of glass covers to pots -- or even the metal ones.
Those lids feel so sturdy and the glass is so unblemished and there must be a use for the darn things....right???? I think the glass is tempered...so I guess can smash... but other than that....what have you done with those darn lids ? The pot drawers are stuffed and I am tired of trying to shut the drawers and having the lids getting in the way of closure. Some ideas?
