does anyone know how to collect seeds from bougainvillia and what they look like...thankz

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7a)

I don't think they propogate from seeds---I've never bumped into any seeds for sale anywhere. I believe they are divisions or cuttings only. They're one of my favorites too:)

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

I hand pollinated my bougies and nothing ever took so I gave up. I don't think I've ever heard of or see seeds for that.

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

I believe cuttings is the only way to propogate, though I have never tried it myself;o)

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

Bouganvillas are very easy to root from cuttings. Just put the cuttings in a glass of water and change the water occasionally. I don't remember how long they take - maybe a month or two to get good roots.

I just usually cut off a piece and stick it in the dirt next to its mom. Think it's a bit quicker than a month.

Thanks for the cutting tips;o) I'll give it a try.
