Let's continue to share.
Let me start by putting up a picture of some of the teak-wood pieces I salvaged from our carpenter who took the good wood and kept aside for reuse. These are the ends of the rafters of the tiled roof that was built in our 90+ year old small house which is now going to be replaced by a new structure. Because teak wood retains oil for a number of years and that the termites do not like this oil content, they wont eat them up easily. As such, teak is considered termite-resistant. But this is too old and exposed via a mud wall which is easy passage for termites up there to reach and search for its food. In the bargain, this is what we get.... fortunately, the rafters stayed put without collapsing!
