Can anything be done about burnt glaze?

Portland, OR

Hello again everyone.

First off, I found a close enough copy of the Grand Dragon statue I wanted to reproduce and did the first painting.
The glaze was a little too thin on the black part but I'm pretty sure I can reglaze the black, right?

The problem is the gray. I used a translucent black because it seemed as though that's how the original was done and I'm happy with the results, for the most part but there are spots where the statue was a little closer to the elements and there are slightly burned areas. I could be satisfied with it as it is but I'd love to fix it if I can.

Is there any way to fix a translucent black that has been cooked a little too hot?

Here's the new Grand Dragon. It's the one on the right ---->>>
