We're flying into Miami, driving up to West Palm Beach to stay with friends, and want to find a place where we can buy a fantastic plant of some kind for them.
Any local expert suggestions on the best stores or nurseries generally along our route. We'll go out of our way for a good place.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

I've never been there myself but I have always heard good things about this place.

J- just received a purple glory bush from GARDINO NURSERY CORP: (561) 272-1416. INFO@RAREFLORA.COM. They were the only ones to get me a tree in one healthy piece- ready to ship. Just planted it today.
I'm new to Dave's Garden.
I was an avid gardener in New England for many years. Now I'm in Southwest Florida (zone 10) and I can't find any of the resources that were so abundant up North. Even my Wyman's Garden Encyclopedia has little to say about light conditions and fertilizer requirements. My backlog of Wayside, Bluestone,White Flower Farm and High Country Garden catalogs have little or nothing to offer the zone 10 gardener and some early attempts to adapt zone 9 plants to my yard (notably Sedum Purple Emperor) have failed miserably. I've even managed to kill Persian Shield (they said it could take full sun, but it shrivelled up and died in my front bed).
I recently purchased a Clerodendrum from a local nursery and have little info on soil, light and feeding requirements. Can anyone help?
Aloha and welcome Kippieloo2. What type of Clerodendrum do you have?
