Problem opening photos in DG

Been DG subscriber for 18 months. Recently started having problem opening photos members upload in discussions. When I click on the thumbnail, the photo will open only partway, about a 1/4th or so. I click back and try again, and again, and again. It will eventually load the total photo. Sometimes it loads on the second try. Sometimes the fourth or more. Very frustrating.

Have not changed computer equipment or configuration. Have high speed broadband internet service (5 Mbps down/2 Mbps up). Windows XP.

Any suggestions?
