Thanks helen, I've also gone for a few mesembs just to see the difference as they grow...so far I have aloinopsis, argyroderma, astroloba, cheiridopsis, conophytum, erepsia, faucaria, pleiospilos, giddeum, juttadinteria, khadia, Lithops, monilaria, Muiria, Psammofolia, titanopsis, aloe and cacti, dactylopsis, bergeranthus, chasmatophylum, delosperma, hereroa and crassula...not all mesembs - should have said succulents and 1 cacti ----- ITS FUN!

This is one of the 36species aloe - Aloe ramossissima , just getting his first true leaf. They are pretty expensive and $120 here, compared to the Normal $2 - $10 for other aloes, depending on size and species.
