Calgary in a deep freeze today!

Minus 30 without any windchill factored in---I close the blinds and hibernate for the day!

I heard that Calgary was the 2nd coldest place on Earth yesterday!

No that was a myth! Actually the Antartica was minus 39 ºC and so were some other places in Alberta.
The report on Calgary was refuted by the local weather announcer. I think we only got to about minus 36ºC.

The good news is that this morning at 2:30 AM it is minus 5ºC. Almost tropical!----- after the deep freeze.
