I found this down by the lake and am curious as to what it might have been. It was laying in the rock rip rap. I put it up on the dock for a better photo.

My first thought is that it is a paddlefish. I looked at google images and haven't found one to compare with, though.

The fish market is probably the best place for that picture to get identified. I was thinking about a picked-over carcase from the early '70s when I first saw it...and those yummy eggs, dredged in the cornmeal mix and fried...

Ha!! I almost brought it home with me... I just got rid of the partial raccoon skeleton I had. I took it to a local nature park. DH wasn't crazy about the fact Tori & I brought that home! lol
