From My Window

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I thought this might be fun.
I had been taking pix from my computer window, all season on a month to month basis.

It might be fun for anyone who had a favorite window view ,to show us what you see.
This is the Lasagna Garden started in 2009.

That's so clever, JoAnn! Startlingly between March & April, but we had such a great early spring. I have 2 windows in my computer room.....one looks over the front yard & per. beds.......you can tell today is garbage day....at least the lady across the road does take them in...some on our road leave them by their drive forever!

Nice Marilyn.

A fun idea JoAnn. So much growth over time. Is that the world famous giant cosmos rocketing upward there on the left? Amazing.
Robin that is a pretty scene. I love the white fence and of course the great rock edge of that graceful bed.
I have a couple contrasting shots of the side path garden from a window. First is from early Aug. after the reset of the bed and one from today. I have some from last winter that are all white but want to avoid seeing that as long as possible.

Nice beds Pat.
That was the 10 foot cosmos. It reached 10 feet and in a September wind, snapped off.
Its pretty dreary in that spot now. I even moved the Sparklie Spike.

Yes - very nice. I keep saying I will do something similar, but never do. I want to do one per week for a year.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Neat! I have never taken any pictures out the window. I will have to try that someday.

I see some of those 300 lilies you have, Jo!

Victor: Thats a great idea .I will start 2011 and post here.I doubt I will pix everyday until April.

Polly: I was in error about the number of varieties. Its 79 .With bulbs increasing over the 3 years I probably have the correct number of plants.

Pixie: What a view OMG

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Really nice.
I like "from the window" shots.

#2Longer total view of a garden area
#3 Feet stay dry
#4 No wind
I could go on !!

That would be a great series, Celeste!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Gorgeous view pixie. Too many trees and hills here for a nice view like that. Such a pretty sight to see every day with that old oak in the perfect spot.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

OHHHH You mean my 10 foot cosmos.I have a series on it.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Amazing!

That is an amazing thing to go from a seed to the great tower of NY in only a few months. I have had them get taller than me, not really a great achievement, but nothing like your giants. Very cool indeed.

This was a experiment with Allison.

That little iris has a lot of heart. Be sure to give it a good gulp of nutrients next spring.
That is a lovely painting JoAnn. A really serene subject too. Good going.
