Measuring out soy flakes.

Inverness, FL

Hi all, I am new to making soy candles and my first batch, I ended up not having enough for the second pour so the tops are pitted. I don't want to melt more than I need but don't know the best way to determine how much to melt based on that container I am using and I use all kinds of different sizes/shapes that I find at local thrift stores.

How do you all determine amount of wax to melt each project?
