How to fix mistake after piece is glazed

I need expert advice. I volunteered to paint a ceramic platter for a class project for a school auction. One of the children's names was left off and it was not discovered until it was glazed and fired. Is there a way to fix this mistake that is permanent? Please help - I feel terrible about this mistake. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
