I alerted her to this thread on FB.

OMG!!!! You guys are the best. I miss you ALL!! I'm so busy, I wish I had time to hang out here. I'm trying to stay committed to the art education, but it's soooo sloooow going. I'm slow, especially. I'm an hour or so away from finishing my first tree drawing. It's a crabapple that's lost most of its leaves (pic below). I have four more trees to draw before December, and this one took two weeks. Eeek! Next time I wonder if I'd get in trouble if I drew a six inch sapling.

Thank you for starting this thread, Victor. Thanks Celeste, ngam, Bill, Jen and Debi! Louise, I'm not doing anything for my birthday, but working hard as slow as a snail. Now I understand why they teased me in high school. My nickname was either "Pokey" or "Sloth".

Hugs to everyone!
Love, Harper

OMG, Harper! That tree is fantastic! I wouldn't worry about being slow.........if THIS is what you get from it! That is really a wonderful job! Good luck with the others, and just keep at it slowly but steadily. There's something good ahead for you!!! So happy to hear from you......don't worrry....we'll be here when you have more time!

Harper, I agree...that is fantastic!!!!! Keep up the good work!!!!!!!

As long as you draw faster than the tree grows, you're good. ^_^

Aw, you guys totally rock! I have the best friends, no contest!

I had all day today to draw tree #2. I spent an hour finding it, and an hour sketching, then got impatient and went home, promising myself I'd draw more later. The whole day was pretty much spent procrastinating. Now I know why I'm so slow! Sigh. I hope I outgrow this.

xoxo
