suggestions for storing luggage and extra hand bags

I was just in a discussion on clothing and realized that is not an area where I feel as though I have an excess. I do know though that my master closet is often in disarray and thinking of everything that is currently making a home in the closet has me thinking there must be better ways of storing luggage that isn't used too very often. There are also pocketbooks that I am too attached to get rid of and will most likely use again at some point.

Does anyone have ideas on where and how to store the baggage in between uses? I'd appreciate any and all help. Thanks everyone.
