I'm back again with my wild strawberries! I bought a bunch of seeds this summer and want to plant them now so they'll be ready to make fruit next spring/summer.
I'd like to do it right this time so I'm wondering if somebody can tell me: What is the best kind of soil to start the seeds in? Is there anything else I need to know about planting them?
I have a bunch of different varieties with French, German and Italian names.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Planting Wild Strawberry Seeds to Grow Indoors
I would use a strerile "soil-less" seed starting mix. When you move them into larger pots, I would use a mix that drains well. The ones I have seen in the wild were always in well drained soil, never in heavy clay.
