I think after more extensive searching, it may be "Conquistador", (Mohr 1921)---
can't find too much info. on it, but it does look like a Historic to me. Anyone want

I think it looks like 'Conquistador' also. It is really close in the photos. To get a more confirmed id, you could try and locate a rhizome of 'Conquistador' and grow beside of your iris and see if they match up. That is what I do when I want a confirmation of id.
