CLOSED: Shorebird ID's Winter plumage already
2 & 5 Black-bellied Plovers with Ruddy Turnstone behind the Plover in #5
6 maybe Spotted Sandpiper
Nice shots!
No.1 Marbled Godwit
No.2 Black-bellied Plover
No.3 Sandwich Terns
No.4 Willet
No.5 Black-bellied Plover...agree Ruddy Turnstone lurking behind
No.6 possibly a Solitary Sandpiper
Thank you so much everyone. That's 2 new birds for me, I'll look up the new ones and see how to ID them better in the future.
Now that I have a better idea of what to look for I'm wondering if #6 is a spotted sandpiper because of the eyeliner?
Ditto to Burd on ##1-5, and to Lagerfran on #6
Resin
Thank you Resin, that's another new one, woo hoo. I need to spend more time at the shore.
