can anyone tell me anything abt gathering seed from mexican sunflower? I planted this spring but I forget what the seed looked like. Thanks.

Just like Helianthus debils and Echins, their seeds are "prime" and "findable" for a very short time. As soon as the stem of the flower dries, take the head and ( while wearing gloves!!) break the head apart, looking for these:
