Hydrangea is growing in full sun--some blossoms burned a bit on a hot day in
August--probably should be planted in more shade--
Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea 9-10-
Looks healthy nonetheless. How much sun is it getting now?
Luis_pr--It is in direct sun about 3/4th of the day
Wow. Paniculatas can sure take the sun where you live. Mine suffer if allowed to get sun part 12pm or thereabouts! Are you happy with the purchase? When did it start to turn red for you in ND?
That is a very pretty hydrangea. I will have to look for one like it around here.
luis_pr The blooms came out white, gradually turned pink in July and then red shades developed about mid August. Yes, I would plant it again! It is putting out a few new white blooms now. I also planted "White Diamond" this last spring. It is supposed to a low grower (3 ft)--had huge individual white blooms and now has shades of rose and green. (check it out --I have a post) It is also in full sun and no sign of burn at all. I really like it!
