On Aug 30 found these 3 while watering. The red one easy to see,
a clump of gray ones to the left and a light colored one left of the grays.

You have an interesting collection, patootie! This has been a good year for fungi - we had lots of rain. I'm finding new ones every day. This pink one looks like an ear coming out of the base of an old, rotting hemlock stump. It doesn't have gills, so I think it's a Jelly Fungus.

I found an old hemlock log just covered in these tiny little mushrooms. The stems are wiry, so if you flick them they vibrate back and forth - very entertaining.

There's lots of this stuff around. Orange Peel? Another Jelly Fungus, anyhoo.

Let's see some more fungi!

June, it does look like an ear. Love the pink.
I missed a photo op last week. Had 2 stacked togather or it was
a double decker, kinda pink or reddish. My DS has a book about
mushrooms. If I can find it,
I will try to look some of these up.

Patootie I think I may also have lots of the ones like in your first pic and since we live in what is basically the same area it is likely the same

Grits I;m not sure that they're the same. My pattern was not as large as yours. As mine aged, the color and
pattern stayed the same. Looks like the color on yours got lighter.. Very interesting these mushrooms. :-)

Found this one in Aug this yr.

Next time I find one, I'll be checking out the undersides, pretty orange.

Found these in one of my dog yards this week, the largest I've ever seen. Both were large but
one of them was slightley larger, over 6 inches across.

Ya my neighbor has that same mushroom growing in his yard next to his chicken pen and like yours 6" in diameter..

Grits, this one must typically grow to a good size. A lot of fun for me to discover all these mushrooms. :-
Every yr we find a nice assortment.

Geez, I really should of posted these here last fall and maybe I could of gotten an ID on some of them. Anyhoo, here is a thread of mushrooms from the New England States.....no fairies or pixie's were harmed or disturbed in the taking of these photos. ^_^

Got some new ones.

This kinda looks like a Dog Stinkhorn??? My guess based mostly on the sheath

No clue on this.

The new look of what I thought was the dog stink horn
The sheathed mrooms are gone and this display in its place.
