Peanut Pumpkin??

Are they just decorative, or also edible? Anyone had any experience with them?

I have not heard of them. Jo

It is an alternate name for Galeuse d'Eysine, a heavily warted French Winter squash. Supposedly good eating qualities but I have not tried it. http://www.territorialseed.com/product/7278/221

OK, does a winter squash ripen any after picking? I had one with the stem popped off so I baked it up, but found it a little green yet just under the skin. If I had waited a month would it have ripened anymore?

mine tend to still ripen a little if I pick em a bit early. the ones without stems do not last as long & are prone to rot easier. Its hard to make kids realize that you just cant break it off the vine, you have to try & keep a good stem, so I had several last year that had to be eaten quicker.
