trimmer head recommendation for tumblweeds and sunflowers

Seattle, WA

Hello,

Newly retired to northern New Mexico, I find my Echo 280T cannot handle adequately the tumbleweeds and sunflowers we have in great profusion here. My unit is equipped witht the speed trim head, the gearing for heavier duty and the .095 Gater trim line with steel reinforcement simply does not stand up more than two minutes with these tougher plants. I don't believe I need a head with a sawblade since I am not cutting woody brush but want to get the best head for my tool with some type of replacement blades which last a long while.

There are apparently a lot of potential units to choose from and I would appreciate the insights of some fellow gardener who has experience with these type of plants.

Thanks,

Gene So
