This echinacea is a hybrid involving paradoxa and tennessensis. The blooms last a very long time and get more orange before they dry up. This plant is a blooming machine! I'm glad it survived the flood.
Long Lasting Blooms
How much flood hit them? I have a few old-fashioned coneflowers and am thinking of adding some more, perhaps some of the new colors, because they do so very well in our area (an hour south of Clarksville). We also got hit by the flood but the only thing I personally lost was a sourwood tree that drowned, poor thing. (I kept trying to trench it out and it was improving but the sixth heavy rain was more than it could take.)
