Hi. I live in the hot, dry central valley of California and my wood shakes are at the tail end of their lives. Does anyone have a comp roof in a hot climate? Is your attic much hotter? I'm debating whether or not to reroof with cedar shake. I am afraid my attic will be like an oven with comp, even with all of the venting that is required.
