I'm gonna get a new baby in the garden & I can't wait!!!
It's gonna bloom soon!!!!
So, what is it ?
don"t know ~LOL~ but I think an Amaryllis
I can't really tell from that picture, but the bloom buds look more like those of a Crinum. It looks very similar to one of my white Crinum. If the roots are very fibrous, rather than tender and brittle like those of Hippeastrum, then it is likely a Crinum. Crinum roots usually are a little more brown, also. Many Crinum have a noticable stripe down the center of the leaf,a little lighter in color. The leaves are usually a little thinner, but the midrib is usually larger, thicker.

That's a Peruvian Daffodil. Genus Hymenocallis. There are several cultivars. Look under plant files.

No ,now that I see the bloom, bsharf is right. This is related to hippeastrum though.
Actually, Peruvian Daffodils are considered the genus Ismene, Hymenocallis is a mexican genus. The Peruvian Daffodil "Ismene Festalis" is your big box store variety which is also very pretty :)
