CLOSED: Have Baptisia australis 'Twilight Prairieblues' seeds

Pembroke, MA(Zone 6a)

I have seedpods on my Baptisia plant for the first time ever. I don't start plants from seed myself, but I'm willing to try to harvest them and offer them to anyone who wants them. I just need a little help. The seed pods are black. How long do I leave them on the plant before I pluck them off?

Thanks,
Tracey

I have this plant well established and have harvested the seed many times, The seeds are ready when the pods are completely dry and you can hear them rattling around inside, if you let them go they will split open and you will lose the seeds. Annette

Whoops after checking plant files I don't think this plant will grow in my hot and humid area!

Hi, Tracey--I'd be interested in a few seeds for postage or trade. I don't have a trade list here, but it you have anything you're looking for I'll try to oblige.

Many thanks,
Linda

Thanks to all for responding. I will harvest the seeds when they are ready and contact those of you who have expressed interest in receiving them through D-Mail.

Thanks!
Tracey
