Name for this insect, please!

Olympia, WA

I don't know if it is good or bad, as far as the garden is concerned - but what I would really love to know is what it is!!!! Friend who took the photo says it is 2x larger than a normal moth. LOL - which, of course, tells me nothing. Antennae don't appear to be festooned in moth fashion. Anyway, any help would be most appreciated. It was photographed in western WA state.

I think that Belinda would be a good name for this moth. Seriously, though - it appears to be Noctua pronuba (Lepidopterea: Noctuidae), commonly known as the large yellow underwing - see http://tinyurl.com/26m6rqy for an image.

How wonderful - and very much appreciated!!!!!!!!! Belinda the Noctua!!! Thank you!!!!
