Why are my morning glories not blooming in PA

Harleysville, PA

I have blue morning glories coving my fence and climbing up my porch post with lots of green leaves but no blue flowers? Why no flowers if the vines are doing well???

They’ve received too much nitrogen and are much too happy with their situation to feel the need to bloom. Try giving them a bit of stress in their lives! Find as many of the vine tips as you can and pinch them off; you don’t have to find all of them, just a large percentage of them. Follow this with an application of a good bloom fertilizer (one with a very high potassium percentage, potassium is the middle number) and you should be rewarded with a good display of blooms.

Jess - I use Bloom Booster by MiracleGro and get lots of blooms! Your vine sounds very healthy and I think MusaRojo advice is good as well! Try all these suggestions! Good luck!

Jess are they "Heavenly Blue"? If so don't give up, mine didn't bloom last year until late August into September then really put on a show!
