I am looking for anyone who has any experience with Janes Dilly Spruce. It is a sister of Dwarf Alberta Spruce. It is smaller however and more compact and upright. I am looking at 2 of them for the sides a 8 ft memorial stone at my Elks Lodge.
You have any up at Pauls Garden Pepper????
Janes Dilly Spruce
I haven't heard of it but we might have it in our perennial garden. I'll ask a former coworker about it.
I think you're referring to "Jean's Dilly' Dwarf Alberta Spruce. I've used it for client's landscaping before. It's a little different from the regular mainly- smaller, shorter, thinner bright green needles mature to an attractive blue-green; shoots end with a twist; and mature height is a few feet smaller and less wide than the regular. One-third slower growing. Developed by the late Jean Iseli in Oregon. Sometimes difficult to find.
