I have a Villa Toranto that is about 15" high and 20" wide . I planted it in full shade and it's drooping limbs are trying to turn up . The shade will only get deeper as a hemlock grows taller . I probably know the answer , but would appreciate one of you guys verifing it needs a little sun . I planted it in the winter and didn't "see" the shade it would have . Thanks , sally
Should I move it ?
That is not a very big tree just a baby .. a couple shovels and it will be out... but move it when it cools.. Shade won't hurt it and it will need some anyway... give it too much sun down there and it will fry.. VT's are touchy with sun..they are touchy period ..good luck. Davidsan
I'll use the spading fork to go around it before lifting it . I'll post a picture tomorrow , the limbs are really reaching up , and I know J P 's are tough , but will wait til end of Sep . thanks a bunch .
