A previous owner of my house had just a couple cannas stuck in the 12-inch strip between the house and the driveway, all scraggly and unhappy looking. I moved them to the side yard and five years later, they've grown to a 4' x 4' stand. Don't know what kind they are, but the photograph from yesterday came out so well, thought I'd post it.

Thank you. After these did so well, I put in an orange and a yellow couple of years ago. Both are struggling. Think they need more water than do these red ones. Might move those to another bed that does get supplemental water and see how well they do.
