Equisetum hyemale

Christiana, TN(Zone 6b)

Hi, all. I haven't spent much time in this forum yet. I have been wondering something. I know and have heard about the invasiveness of Horsetail. I also know that some things invasive in one place may not be invasive in others. I would like to grow some and would like your opinions. I usually control agressive plants with Roundup. Would it work? Will Horsetail grow into dry areas?
Thanks for any comments, opinions or suggestions.

Equisetum hyemale has very high moisture requirements. If you do not have any consistently moist areas on your property it is unlikely to be a problem. It can be safely grown in a container as long as there is no chroniclly moist zone nearby.
