Lysimachia clethroides: question on moving

Boston, MA

Yes- may be invasive but I have a spot where it grows beautifully under control. When can I move/divide this plant? Thanks.

I absolutely love them. I grow them in bottomless pots to contain them and deadhead. I tried to grow them in containers but they did not survive the winter. I'm sure you can divide them after blooming, but they do look pretty in the fall so you may want to wait until later in the fall to do so.

thanks - I like them a lot as well - never thought about container growth but they would look very nice - however does not seem to be an option based on experience above - will try the bottomless idea if I find i need to restrain - so far not been an issue

Not sure when you can move them but I too grow them.

IMHO , I think they are very graceful.

yes indeed - invasive maybe but very useful and drought tolerant , as shown by this summer in MA - flowers long lasting - too
