I have a white bleeding heart growing in my garden and it is done blossoming and starting to die back because of the heat. But yesterday I went outside and all of the leaves were stripped from the stems. A smaller plant that had started from seed was also eaten as well as a wild geranium I just transplanted this spring. I thought bleeding heart was poisonous? We do have deer, gopher and rabbits in our yard.
Thank you for any answers to this mystery.
