She also sent these cotton hemstitched/preforated pieces. I have not come across this before. You cut each motif and crochet around the edge and then crochet them together making place mats, runners ...Paterns provided dated 1942.Again the linen was near brown and washed into a clean natural fabric.
Now people didn't have much $$$ then either but such pride in their homes and homemaking.
