Take a moment in time

Longboat Key, FL(Zone 9b)

These were sent to me by a internet quilter friend. The Dresser ensemble is from about 1942 according to instructions and where bought at Herrschners. Came with open hemstitch - one just had to cutaway fabric close enough to the holes and then crochet the trim. They were as yellow as the paper patterns. They were all embroidered. Beautiful work. What A treasure this is for my friend from her mother or grandmother. The Vanity the pieces are on an older Vanity.1937 Sears Product.

I crochet the edge - interesting enough, the yarn also bought at herrschners last year , years later. Take a look.
This in a guest room with a "Dresden Plate Quilt" over the bottom of a white bed. WOW
