Need advice on MP3 players

I am looking to buy an MP3 player solely for music, no WiFi, no video. However from what I've seen a lot of them will not let you create playlists from within the player. That is one feature I really desire. I don't care if it's an I pod, Zune, whatever just as long as the sound quality is good and it has the playlist capability. Any suggestions?
