Help, what is wrong with this fruit

Panama City, FL(Zone 8b)

I have a mini dwarf nectarine tree. Last year all the fruit feel off and rotted before it was ripe. This year the fruit is starting to do the same thing. The fruit is getting big and almost ripe then it will start to rot on the tree. I have included pictures of three of the nectarines I pulled off today. The fruit is also spotted. Is this some sort of fungal disease? What can I do to stop it or prevent it in the future? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Brown rot. Very difficult to control in a home orchard. Good sanitation is the first defense, but inadequate once the spores are present. There are fungicides that give control, but not readily available to home gardeners. http://www.nysaes.cornell.edu/pp/extension/tfabp/brstone.shtml http://pubs.ext.vt.edu/450/450-721/450-721.html

Thanks, Farmerdill. Looks like I have some work to do to try to get this under control. Hopefully with some work I will be able to beat it and get some fruit next year.
