I would like to get a big fat white clematis that blooms a lot (or mid-season). Any thoughts? Who is good to order from? Thanks!

The Chicago Botanical Gardens did a study on clematis that grew will in northern gardens. Marie Boisselot did well.

I planted Guernsey Cream in April. It's growing beautifully, and I expect it to bloom within a month.

John Huxtable or Huldine would be my bet for tons of blooms - Debbie will suggest something.
This is Huldine and she's just starting to bloom. This is a 3 ft circle of chicken wire cage with Huldine and Lady Betty Belfou which is just starting to bloom also. This plant is in the 3rd year of bloom.

Here is another Huldine I have at my husbands garage climbing up on the deck. This is also in it's 3rd year.
My favorite white is Candida, which I paid a lot for for the first one and then found it in a box at Costco a couple of years later.

I just purchased Ice Blue from Silverstarvinery. I've seen the flower on it - HUGE. It's the largest flower I've ever seen. Pure white.

I got it the week before she finished shipping. She would probably ship if you sent her an email. She has always shipped on Monday so let her know if you need something. I'm sure a plant here and there would work. But the huge business of plants going out is probably cut off my now. I would highly recommend Ice Blue after seeing it bloom.
