Cincinnati (Anderson, OH(Zone 6a)

Hi, ORVers,

Just wanted to check in~~hope all are well and gardens are thriving beautifully now.

And I wanted to ask what is in bloom for everyone on June 1 in our region? I am looking for some fresh color for this particular time of year and would like to know what's coloring up for you now.

I've got:

Hardy geraniums (a few kinds are in bloom)
Daisies (a few)
Oakleaf Hydrangeas
Coreopsis 1
Eremurus 4
Monarda Rasberry Wine (I think)
Cerinthe
bellflower (1)
coral honeysuckle
tradescantia 1

But I need more Color now!

Thanks, ric. I bet you have a lot of bloom in progress over there!

Will you be going on the Anderson Garden tour Sunday? I might if I get back from a little trip we are taking tomorrow.

Tradenscantia?? mine are already finished...?

Cut them back they will rebloom T.
But ours are still cranking.... in fact your Sweet Kate is looking mighty sweet!

Yep we will be there.
T if you have not seen the one on Markley yet it is a MUST see!
Last year they held their Daughter's wedding there.
They could rent this place out.

daylily, you have quite a long list of June bloomers. I always thought you had mostly daylilies, but you seem to have widened your range!

I think your season is slightly behind ours here along the Ohio River as some on your list have come and gone here.

Ric, Got back from our trip and ran over to Markley and it was lovely.

Who would have known that it was tucked back in there behind the ranch houses.

Went on a trip to Chicago and thru Illinois and visited some fabulous gardens along the way.

We need some sun here so our plants burst into bloom. I am tired of all the green.

I thought that place would amaze you Judy.
The one on Ayers is very nice too!
Don't need a tour you can see it from the road.

I have Iris for you...... :-)

Most people that visit are here to see the daylilies and they don't notice all the other plants. I have always had a lot of perennials.
