I have some of the most amazing water hyacinth this year. They are deep green and incredibly large. They produce like wild flowers for me and produce a lovely purple, hyacinth-type flower that is also very large. Since they don't die where I'm located, I always end up throwing out buckets of them each year. I'd love to send you some for postage. I have 3 - 5 gallon buckets of beautiful hyacinth that I've had to remove from my pond because they're simply too large and have grown too fast.
For those of you who are concerned about wintering them over, you can actually cut them back and put them in a garage or a shed in a bucket of water for the winter and they should come back without a problem. Feel free to contact me at juliejburke@hotmail.com.
I look forward to hearing from you.
