wanting to buy and orange tree

saw some at lowes for like 20 dollars but dont know if those are actual orange trees or ornamental ones. does anyone know where to get an actual orange tree? thanks

I have found them at the local nurseries here in south Georgia. They probably have them at your nurseries or would know where to get them.

Have you seen this thread? http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1088496/ The ones I saw at Lowes were in boxes like the berry and grapes come in. I didn't look at the original price but did notice the $1.50 clearance ones.

I just saw a bunch at Lowes but they are simply root stock with a branch grafted on, that will work but it will take a few years of babying to get those going and years to fruit. There are a few places on the coast. Plant folks in the link provided above and http://www.mckenzie-farms.com/favorite.htm. Woodlanders use to sell citrus trees but I'm not sure if they do right now. Greening disease has put a stop to citrus trees going over state boarders and I'm not sure exactly where they were getting theirs or if they grow them. Plant Folks and Mckenzie both grow their own.
