White Veined Dutchman's Pipe

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

I have two seedlings! They took forever to germinate .. I'd like to put them in my little "Woodlands Garden" along with the Bleeding Heart, Trillium, Violets and Ferns .. Just need to know if they'd be happy there .. the area gets about 1 hour of full early morning sun then the rest of the time in shade.

my dutchmens pipe gets speckled morning shade the rest shade in afternoon. does fine for me.

Thanks!

Anne,
Don't know about your sun but here I grow them in all shade or very lightly dappled sun. also make sure it's protected from winds. The White Veined is not as sturdy as it's bigger brothers. It's also a host plant for the Pipevine and Palamedes Butterflies so you may get some nibbling. They butterflies don't mess with mine too much as I have two "big brothers" to keep the caterpillars happy.
