Problems with Snow-in-Summer

Cambridge, MA

Hi all,

For the past few years, I've had problems with my Snow-in-Summer. Already, the stems are dry and woody...as it spreads, the tops stay leafy and green but the bottom stems are yellow and ugly. Is this common? What do you suggest?

I am watching.. but have no help... mine is not doing great either

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Not a favorite. I planted lots of it years ago but hated how it opened up to show its ugly center. Even with cutting way back after flowering it was not much better. I ditched it all.

not sure if the water flow over it .... is too much for it... but it's not thriving at all

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Mine too looks ratty later in the season. I've pretty much got rid of it all too.

Essex Junction, VT(Zone 4a)

luckily I stuck mine on the back of the waterfall so it isn't in plain sight because mine gets leggy also. it looks like crap, then looks nice, then gets a bit ugly again. I also tried trimming and such, and now I just leave it and let it do what it is gonna do.

Hi all,

Thanks! I just thought it was my black thumb.
