I asked this question on another forum but haven't received an answer yet so here's my problem. I have several dahlia tubers that have sprouted. Weather conditions haven't allowed me to plant them yet and some have sprouts that are several inches long. What I would like to know is when I do plant them do I leave some of the sprout out of the ground or completely cover it with soil? The forecast for next week looks favorable for planting. Thanks in advance. Dan
dahlias are sprouting
I answered you. Either way will work. Just protect the sprouts from slugs for the first few weeks, or all season for that matter.
