Here is an unknown seedling of mine that is blooming for the first time. I have the tag, but it's faded beyond recognition. This is the third seedling from this cross to bloom.
After the first two, I was quite surprised by this one. It's coloring is beautiful, and it's shape is very interesting and different from the first two (their photos forthecoming).
The flower is slightly ruffled, the coloring is a combination of stripes and stipling. The tips of the upper ...tepals (?? can't remember... get the terminology mixed up sometimes) curve backwards and then hook upwards. Likely just a result of the tips twisting, but interesting, none the less. Also, the coloring is uneven and inconsistent throughout - very pretty! This is only the first flower, there are only two in this scape, and the second is about to open. I'm looking forward to seeing it!
Unknown Seedling
This one is from the same cross and seedling batch. The flower is much rounder in overall shape and the color is a very true red (not pinkish-red). It's nice, but nothing special. It looks like there are white streaks in this flower, but I think this was just an aged flower by the time I got to taking a pic.
Hmmm, I can't find a pic of the last one - it's flower is nearly identical to the previous one, but it's color is more of a cherry red. A distinctly different red than the previous one, but like that one, it's nice but nothing special.
A Charisma cross perhaps???
Ya, I definitely believe this is one of my Charisma crosses - I know I made some both ways several years back. Don't know about the other parent, though.
