Matte glaze difficulties

I re-glazed this pot because it looked so bad the first time. It was an experiment, which it shouldn't have been since it's also a gift. sigh... another lesson learned.

Anyway, the flower designs were glazed with Mayco Stroke & Coat on greenware. Don't ask why, I just wanted to try it! The blue is Mayco English Blue Matte (discontinued). I had a terrible time trying to get the Blue on evenly - that was what I ended up glazing a second time.

BTW, it's meant to be a cache pot - my sister grows orchids and has them wherever there is light. I thought she might enjoy some color.
