old juice bottles.

San Jose, CA

I have been recycling my old plastic juice bottles into planters for flowers and vegetables! I poke holes in the bottom of the bottle with a nail, and then cut the top of the bottle off with a razor, and then paint and plant! I don't think these are particularly stunning to look at but they are fun, a way for me to recycle and save money by not buying the little green buckets from the garden center. I also hope the bright colors will attract bees! I think this would be a great project for kids, not the poking and cutting but the painting. I am thinking about getting the neighbors little girls to paint some for me.

Does anyone else have any other uses for their old juice bottles?
